PRP700 and PRP800 are the new GEM portable pianos that integrate the technology and specs already available in the RealPiano series models, with the extraordinary sounds of the Promega series that in the last years has become the reference for professional piano players around the world. Thanks to the powerful DRAKE™ processor, the PRP700 and PRP800 offer extraordinary acoustic and digital piano presets, featuring an incredibly realistic and superb quality sound with an impressive 80 notes maximum polyphony.

The acoustic piano sounds incorporate GEM's acclaimed patented physical modeling algorithms like Damper Physical Model, Natural String Resonance, Advanced Release Technology and Filter Algorithm Dynamic Emulation (FADE).
Simply put, this exclusive technology faithfully reproduces the natural acoustic properties of a real acoustic piano, resulting in what we believe to be the most realistic piano tone and feel ever created.

The internal database includes high standard PCM sounds with accurate stereo and mono samples, among which is the famous Fazioli® concert grand F308. The exclusive algorithms and physical models for real time sound generation allows the PRP700 and PRP800 to reproduce the mythical vintage sounds of famous electronic pianos such as Rhodes®, Wurlitzer® and Clavinet® with superb reality. 32 sounds (16 presets + 16 variations) are available and can be used in different modes: Single, Split (with programmable split point) and Layer. The effects section includes 4 reverbs and 4 modulation (user editable) effects that enhance the overall sound.

The importance of music education and the documented benefits associated with this, encouraged our design team to incorporate functions to enhance the learning process and enjoyment. The digital metronome makes learning easier, offering a precise reference guide. The recorder (2 track, 20.000 event) allows you to record and re-listen to your performances. An internal Music Library containing 50 of the world's most famous piano pieces, all performed and recorded meticulously, provides tremendous educational benefits.

The Music Library allows the student to study a piece of music, playing each part separately at a speed he is comfortable with. Compact, light-weight and easy-to-carry, PRP700 and PRP800 feature a new 88 note “Graded Hammer Action” for a perfectly realistic piano feeling along with a high level of expressive control.

The cabinet styling is modern and elegant, enhanced by a semi-transparent and blue back-lit music stand. The new internal 10W + 10 W digital amplifier (PRP800 only) is perfectly tuned and matched to the audio system that incorporates elliptical speakers. The rear panel features many connection possibilities including USB interface for PC use.

Using the optional triple pedal unit it is possible to totally control the Damper, (thanks to the patented Damper Physical Model technology), allowing the recognition and control of 16 different action levels during its use. This also allows possible tones such as “half pedal” reproducing the real sound of the strings of an acoustic piano that, pressing the pedal, are free to resonate in sympathy with the notes being played.
